&lt;p&gt;But to the BT 5.0 support: are all features like higher range and data rates mandatory or is it the same as with previous versions where Nordic can claim that their HW + Stack are BT 4.2 even they don&amp;#39;t support 100% feature set (because they support mandatory sub-set)? I can imagine nRF52832 could be rated as BT 5.0 compliant even without some features which are supported only by HW of nRF52840 (and with the same logic existence of nRF52840 is justified as being flag-ship with full BT 5.0 support).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That&amp;#39;s why Nordic have just previewed their new chip which does have support (and finally USB on board as well!!!!)&lt;/p&gt;
