I found that the RCP application support nRF52840 , and other DKs except nrf5340-DK.
How can I program the nRF5340-DK with the RCP application?

Thanks

I do not have any experience with the MicroMod boards, but as longs as you can access the SWD pins and the USB port of the nRF52840 is exposed (or you connect it over UART), it should technically be possible to program and use it as a RCP device.

It looks like there is a 10-pin SWD header on the logger board, but not populated with pins. From the board schematics, it also looks like the USB-C port of the logger board is router to the nRF52840 module on the processor board.

Note that if you program the nRF52840 through the SWD pins, you might erase any Arduino compatible bootloader present on the device, preventing you from using it with Arduino examples until you reprogram the bootloader.

I would highly recommend buying a couple nRF52840 Dongles for use with our development tools like Thread Border routers, sniffer applications, etc. The dongles are cheap and easy to use.
Is there a specific reason that you want to run RCP on nRF5340 and not one of the supported nRF52 variants?
I have only three pieces of nRF5340-dk and I can't purchase another variants quite soon.

But I've MicroMod nRF52840 and MicroMod Data Logging board, can I program this module with the RCP app using nRF5340-dk?
If so, how can I do this?

Best regards,
Basem

RE: Program the nRF5340-DK device with the RCP application

Hi,

That is correct, RCP is currently not supported on nRF5340. The nRF5340 is quite a large and advanced chip with multicore processor, making it a bit overkill for an RCP application. Is there a specific reason that you want to run RCP on nRF5340 and not one of the supported nRF52 variants?
