I started a new project where a nRF52840 DK is used in controller mode to advertise sensor data. The board is flashed with the HCI UART project found in the Zephyr SDK.
I executed successfully most of the HCI commands (i.e. scan), but I'm unable

RE: Unable to start advertising using HCI UART project

Thanks Hung,

It seems to work with this format.

But a quick comment is that the address of the advertiser need to follow a certain format of the MSB bits:

(page 2678 in spec v 5.4)

My suggestion is to try to test in a nRF52840 BLE sample to see if the address is accepted before testing on the HCI commands. It's easier to debug and find what's wrong in the code.

RE: Unable to start advertising using HCI UART project

I just discovered that it works if a random address is assigned first. I tried before to set a static address but it didn't work.
What is the rule about the address assignment ?
