Based on the documentation, boot_write_image_confirmed() marks the image as confirmed and installs the image permanently.

What do you refer to as original and what later build? What happens in each of the builds? How does later build seem to confirm?

Thanks for this. Is this an option I should have enabled in the original MCUboot build? The later build (when flashed in fresh) seems to successfully confirm. I have devices out the field so need to ideally find a way to get this to work. Maybe the new image (which runs at least once) can set the image as confirmed? Is this possible?

Hi,

There is a procedure on device DFU which is shown in the documentation. Swapping the image to slot 1 will not happen on next reset unless new image has been confirmed.
