&lt;p&gt;I don&amp;#39;t see the benefit of defining additional power states on the nRF52 considering it only supports&amp;nbsp;&lt;a title="System ON mode" href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf52833/power.html?cp=5_1_0_4_2_3#unique_637723235"&gt;System ON mode&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;&lt;a title="System OFF mode" href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf52833/power.html?cp=5_1_0_4_2_2#unique_1983887295"&gt;System OFF mode&lt;/a&gt;. If you experience high current consumption, then I think it&amp;#39;s better to have a look at what peripherals you have enabled.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Have you tried to measure what the sleep current is?&lt;/p&gt;
