additionally, even the --deviceversion command is giving the same error, I think my device is not being detected correctly somehow?

Hi, thank you for the response! I tried doing as you said and am now receiving the this as the output in the terminal. How should I proceed from here? I also tried the --recover command along with the --family command but it is still not working.

I am bit confused because the device you mentioned is nRF52833DK, then it should be visible as nRF52833 DK (See my screenshot). But the selected device in your screenshot is visible as JLink.

Can you once try recovering the device to disable the read back protection? For this you need to download nRF comman lIne tools and run "nrfjprog --recover" command. Then try to use the programmer App.

Hi, thank you so much for the reply!

As I mentioned, the screenshot is taken after disconnecting the DK, which is why it shows that I haven't selected it. It was connected while I was trying to configure the device.

Hello,

While checking the screenshot it looks like you haven't selected any device from the "SELECT DEVICE" drop down tab. I think Erase and write will be only available after selecting the connected device.
