If you lock the system mode to NB-IoT, it should work.

Do AT%XSYSTEMMODE=0,1,0,0

Then the AT%XRFTEST command.

As this is a NB-IoT band only, you need to specify the band in system mode.

The get systemmode command returns the following:

%XSYSTEMMODE: 1,1,0,0

That matches my expectations, since I configured CONFIG_LTE_NETWORK_MODE_LTE_M_NBIOT=y in the prj.conf file.

I have asked about this to experts who works in the RF side and will get back to you as soon as I get updates.. Since the band is only supported in NB-IoT mode, just to verify, have you configured the modem correctly with %XSYSTEMMODE ?

Thanks for taking up my support request.

I followed your link, and read through it. We plan to run two types of tests (in order to optimize our antenna circuit).

The first will be a passive test, where we feed in an RF signal via Signal Generator and where we'll sweep through the interesting frequency spectrum.

The second will be an "active" Test, where we use the modem TX-Test function to generate a carrier signal on selected frequencies.

For this second test we aim to generate a carrier signal just above 700 MHz (where B17 lies in). That's why I want to launch the AT%XRFTEST command with a B17 parameter set.

*PS: Didn't find further detail concerning the AT%XRFTEST command on your linked page (it's rather an overview about possible circuit options for RF testing)
