Good to know that BLE is working, but just letting you know that the BLE course has not been tested under nRF9160dk so can't guarantee about all the samples mentioned there.

I am able to connect to the BLE module and debug it.

Also, I am able to see the log without any issue.

Will have to dig deeper to have better understanding.

I am not sure about the whole course as I haven't gone through the whole samples. But I guess if you build your sample for nrf9160dk_nrf52840 then the BLE should work. How did you try the BLE sample? For which board did you build your sample?
I was checking the hardware requirement mentioned and they haven't mentioned the 9160dk there. So I guess there won't be full support for the whole course.
