nRF Connect - v4.1.2
Power Profiler - v3.5.5

I am trying to measure the current for the PCB Board. But when I connect the PCB board via PPK2 it's not functioning properly and if I connect directly with battery

RE: PPK2 Problem with Battery Current measurement

Hi Dendik,

Yes, It's ON ! that's where things went very weird that how can this happen when power and everything is going still it's not running properly.

RE: PPK2 Problem with Battery Current measurement

Hi,

The PPK2 can be used on any board.

The connection in your fist post should be OK. One quick thing to check is if you have turned on the output power in the Power Profiler application, this is needed to connect the VIN to VOUT on the PPK.

Best regards,

I have just tested similar way and got no change in result.
is PPK2 only meant to measure proper current with nRF Dev kits only?

RE: PPK2 Problem with Battery Current measurement

Your circuit requires current to flow out of the ground. I doubt that the PPK2 can support that. Ground probably only allows current to flow into it and not out of it.

Here is what I suggest:

RE: PPK2 Problem with Battery Current measurement

PPK2 has Common GND for VIN and VOUT. As per this photo both GND is shorted. so that makes the connection as you mentioned -- please correct me if I am wrong here.

https://prnt.sc/RqAH0oisaX0S

RE: PPK2 Problem with Battery Current measurement

It seems from your schematic that you are trying to get current to flow through the ammeter into the board and back to the battery through the ground pins of the PPK2.

It might be that the ground pins can only ground current and not carry it back to the battery.

Perhaps you should try Battery +ve -> Vin ->PPK2->Vout -> PCB -> PCB ground -> Battery -ve
