I'm working on an application which advertises a proprietary command-response service and I would like to optimize the power consumption. According to the online power profiler I should get as low as 36uA, but currently I am only able to achieve

RE: nRF5340 Bluetooth advertising power consumption

Hi Simon

Thank you very much. The Kconfigs CONFIG_PM_DEVICE=y and CONFIG_PM_DEVICE_RUNTIME=y were relevant as well.

It would be helpful if the mentioned blog post could be updated since it's written for the nRF Connect SDK V1.6.0 but since then the PM-API has changed significantly.

Best regards,

The device doesn't seem to go to sleep between the advertising events here. Please check out this blog post by my colleague Wes that describes how to optimize current consumption on nRF5340 designs. Adding CONFIG_LOG=n and CONFIG_SERIAL=n in your prj.conf file are the most important ways to lower power consumption.

Best regards,
