I have a weird problem, that once I shutdown Visual Studio Code after working on an nRF application, I cannot open it anymore.
What I do is NRF Connect > Open an existing application > then I open the directory project. It says: "The directory

RE: Reopening an application after I closed Visual Studio Code

Hi,

Apologies for the delay as I was on a long vacation.

Could you please tell me your nRF Connect SDKversion as well as VSCode extension version?

Which SDK version are you working on? I tried with the nRF Connect SDK v2.4.0 and I could not reproduce your problem. When you create an application, you can find them under the "Applications" tab and even if you close VSCode and re-open, it will still be available under the "Applications" tab, from where you can work with it again:

I can see the code, build, flash debug... I can keep working on the project if I don't close VSCode.

If I close VSCode, the files are still there:

If I try to open VSCode and Open an existing application with NRF Connect, it ends with an error.

RE: Reopening an application after I closed Visual Studio Code

Hi Pereira,

First when you "Create a new application", does it get created? What is the path where you store your projects? Later, when you try to open these projects from these locations, is it actually there in that path, say, if you have created a blinky project in C:/NCS/VSC/ , later when you close VSCode, do you actually see the application blinky in that location?

Best Regards,
