I created a PCB for nPM1100-QDAA testing. According to the documentation ( infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp , pins 4 and 18 are NC. However, in your examples ( infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp , those pins are connected to GND.

Thank you so much!

P.S. I tried to solder pin 4 to GND but no success in charging. I think it might be a bad soldering. I will create a new pcb and test it.

RE: nPM1100-QDAA charger nor working

Hi

You're referring to the pin assignments when talking about where pins 4 and 18 are set to N.C., correct? I've contacted one of the nPM designers to get a confirmation, and it seems like pin 4 should indeed be grounded to ensure correct operation. The PS will be updated to reflect this in the pin assignments as well.

From the schematics you have shared I also have some other notes when comparing it to our reference circuitry:

A decoupling cap (1.0µF) from VBAT to GND is missing

VTERMSET shouldn't need a resistor at all, it should either be grounded or go to VSYS.

C2 in your design should be 22µF for configuration 1 or 10µF for configuration 3.

VOUTBSET1 (pin 2) should be shorted to ground in configuration 3, shorted to VOUTBSET2 in config 1.

Best regards,
