Sure! It was already tested with the latest MFW version (v1.3.6) and the v2.5.1 SDK and got the same error. Please, could you provide a piece of code or an example where this functionality works?

Hi!

I have tried the same test with the new 2.5.0 version implementation (and Modem FW: 1.3.4) and I am still receiving the same error ("NRF_ENOEXEC – When RPC command failed.").

	struct nrf_modem_bootloader_digest digest = {0};
	struct nrf_modem_bootloader_fw_segment segment;

	segment.start_addr = 0x27c000;
    segment.end_addr = segment.start_addr + 0x4000;

	err = nrf_modem_bootloader_digest(&segment, 1, &digest);
	printk("Err: %d\n", err);

Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know exactly, maybe start with 2.0.2 and an older MFW and then a much older one if that did not work.

You can also try just downgrading the MFW, but if the application will try to use some newer features then it won't work. Worth trying though.

You can always fall back on the compatibility matrix here.

To my knowledge it was a bug or an incompatibility with a new MFW in modem_lib.

Sure! I added such code within the "apply_fmfu_from_ext_flash()" function (main.c file), after the "fmfu_fdev_load()" function is executed, for my tests. Is that the right place? I also tried to execute the "nrf_modem_bootloader_uuid()" function to ensure that everything is working properly and this returned a valid response, so I though this could be a problem with the "nrf_modem_bootloader_digest()" function.

NCS: 2.4.0
Modem FW: 1.3.2
