Priyanka is away on vacation at the moment, so I have taken up the case.. The different package variants of the same chip primarily differ in their pin configurations, with some packages having more pins than others. However, the core functionality and software configuration remain the same. See here: No nrf52840 QFAA support on nRF Connect SDK 2.1.2?

In this case, internally the QKAA and CLAA are identical. There is also no difference in the available GPIO pins, so there is no issue using board files for QKAA for CLAA.

Okay, let me rephrase the question:

are the nRF5340-xxAA chips have the same die and the s/w difference is the package related content of the MFR-OTP INFO registers only (offset 0x210 and 0x214), so that I can just use -QKAA's definitions, devicetree and other files for a project based on -CLAA without any changes?
