Can you check that you&#39;re using the correct overlay and board file is used in your project (nrf5340dk_nrf5340.overlay) so that the correct pins are trying to communicate with the MX25 (pins P0.13-P0.18 on the nRF5340 DK). Also make sure that the correct solder bridges are shorted and cut to use the memory chip instead of GPIOs.
