I am attempting to create a zigbee-enabled switch using the nRF52840 dongle. However, going through the examples for the dongle provided in the nRF 5 SDK, I only came across BLE and ANT examples and could not find any instances where Zigbee operation

RE: Zigbee Example for nRF52840 dongle

Yes, you can use VS code, but then you'll also have to use the nRF Connect SDK. The only changes necessary in the nRF Connect SDK to change to the Dongle board is to use the nRF52840 Dongle board file as well as edit your pin configurations to match the pins and button(s) to use in your application.

How can I change the light_switch project to work with PCA10059? I referred to the thread linked above and that uses SES.
In the nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee under ...\nrf5_sdk_for_thread_and_zigbee_v4.2.0_af27f76\examples\zigbee\light_control both the light_bulb and light_coordinator projects have versions of the examples for the nRF52840 Dongle (pca10059).

To adapt projects to the nRF52840 Dongle in general in the nRF5 SDK you can refer to our Dongle Programming tutorial where my colleague Einar has a section dedicated to doing so as well in case the exact project you want to use is not already available for the Dongle.
