looks like that remote controller is a peripheral example. My Peripheral is configured I was able to figure that out after completing the Dev academy. I'm seeking some information on setting up a peripheral board to read and write the peripheral's custom service/characteristics.

Thank you. Already completed BLE fundamentals to get the peripheral device going. I'll checkout those github links.

Hi,

First of I recommend you to go through the BLE fundamentals at https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/bluetooth-low-energy-fundamentals/ to have a good chronologically foundation for BLE applications in NCS. The exercises here shows you how to create custom advertising data among other things. This can also be seen in quite a few of the BLE samples, for instance heart rate samples, where they advertise the custom hrs service

Then I recommend you to have a look at https://github.com/edvinand/OmegaV_BLE_Course, which is a repository containing a hands on we've used in other courses where creating a remote controller is a part of the hands on. The final solution is linked at the bottom of the readme (https://github.com/edvinand/OmegaV_BLE_Course/tree/main/remote_controller/src)

how can I hard-code my central to read and write my custom service characteristics ?

I'm also trying to setup the central with level 2 security (same as my peripheral)
