Hello,

For doing OTA DFU you don't need to build the bootloader separately. You should enable the MCUboot as the bootloader and you can follow the guide I pointed in my last (attaching here again). Testing for an OTA DFU is shown here and you can also refer to this sample from my colleague . Please read about FOTA updates and you can find the smp server sample, which shows how to set up your project for adding FOTA support.

Hello,

Could you tell me why you are building the MCUboot integrated with the SDK separately from the application? It is not recommended to build the bootloader separately from the application. You should try using the provide bootloader with NCS and configure it according to your needs. If you are looking to add MCUboot support to your application you can follow this guide.

You can read more on bootloaders and also see the section building and using mcuboot with zephyr.
