I am in the process of redesigning our board, with the nrf9160

RE: JLink/SWD header connections on custom nrf9160 board programmed from nrf9160 DK?

Thank you for the information!
The signals you need to program the board are SWDIO, SWDCLK, SWD_SELCT and GND of course.

SWD0_SELECT is used to let the debugger know there's an external target so this must be connected to the same supply as VDD_GPIO on thh external board, 1.8 V in your case.

RESET and SWO are not needed.

Best regards,

Ketil Aas-Johansen
