&lt;p&gt;The descriptions for what you are asking is found in the &lt;a href="https://www.bluetooth.com/bluetooth-resources/le-audio-book/"&gt;Introducing Bluetooth LE Audio book&lt;/a&gt; which can be downloaded for free.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Chapter 8.2.4 describes the how a Broadcast Audio Stream is established and also contains references to relevant parts of the Core Specification. Chapter 8 is all about Broadcast Audio Streams.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;PAST is described in Chapter 4.4.10.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Does these pointers clear up your confusion?&lt;/p&gt;
