If this is on the nrf9160 DK, then I need to get the project you are testing this with. If you have not yet tested this with DK, then I recommend you to do so, so that we can exclude issues in your board and hardware files.

Hi,

before NRF_REGULATORS_NS->SYSTEMOFF=1 i have done modem off lte_lc_power_off(); but still my device is consuming more then 3-4mA.

Is their any other changes i need to do to reduce the power?

The thing is, modem is a separate core, so you have to disable that before you put your application core into System OFF.

From the documentation:

Before entering System OFF mode, the user must make sure that all on-going EasyDMA transactions have completed. This can be accomplished by making sure that EasyDMA enabled peripherals have stopped and END events from them received. The LTE modem also needs to be stopped, by issuing a command through the modem API, before entering System OFF mode. Once the command is issued, one should wait for the modem to respond that it actually has stopped, as there may be a delay until modem is disconnected from the network.

Hi Michal,

when i use NRF_REGULATORS_NS->SYSTEMOFF=1; the nrf9160 is not doing anything after 1hour its automaticly getting reset i have check the reset reason too due to watchdog timer its doing reset.

I thought NRF_REGULATORS_NS->SYSTEMOFF=1 will disable all peripherals which is enabled if its not disable all peripherals like uart,i2c,spi,watchdog which function will help to disable before using NRF_REGULATORS_NS->SYSTEMOFF=1

There is another issue on that, please check it out.

You have to turn off the modem first and then wait for it to disconnect.
