Ah, yes, this is a patch for the latest, not 2.2.0. I thought it would still be cherry-pickable, but due to some file structure changes it just barely isn't.

Here is a patch for 2.2.0 doing the same thing:

Thank you for doing that again, Jim! I was able to capture the data I was looking for.

This is definitely happening device-side, and it looks like it was a bug in NCS. I have just submitted a PR to fix this bug. I have not yet tested it, but it should work.

It could take some time for this to be merged into an official update to NCS -- I recommend, in the mean time, that you cherry pick the commit or manually apply the change yourself.

Thanks for doing that, I do see the connection but I wasn't able to capture MQTT traffic, my bad. Can you do the process one more time (including re-flash so that we guarantee a shadow update?) . I should be able to capture it this time

Hey, Jim, I am taking a look from the firmware side to make sure NCS is in alignment with what Cloud expects. Can you tell me the version of NCS you are using / what version the copy of ATV2 you based your app on is using?

Here's our call to nrf_cloud_shadow_device_status_update(). It appears to use the air_quality item. Prior to upgrading our account the card appeared. Prior to the code fix the card appeared intermittently.

Hi Jim,

Sorry for any potential confusion. In our initial pass at making cards to support ATV2 we accidentally left out AIR_QUAL (Air Quality) to be a default card. Thus it not showing up in the drop-down and only showing up occasionally. We have built a "Custom App" feature that will grab and make a card for messages that match the correct message schema. The card will only show up when the device sends a message with APPID AIR_QUAL which can lead to confusion.

I will put in a fix so that the Air Quality card will always show.

Hi Swathy,

Air Quality is not an option in the drop-down menu. Also, the Air Quality plot is now appearing occasionally when the page is completely reloaded or visited in another browser/computer. But some other cards may or may not appear. Seems like cards are displayed arbitrarily.
