Ok, I ordered one of the new Thingy boards, hopefully will be working properly

I found another DK of the same old rev but doesn't turnoff automatically, but also has very old compatibility with serial lte modem code, and generally is not useful

So, let's hope the newer version will be OK

I don't know, maybe one of the earliest releases will work. I would still highly recommend you buy an up to date DK. The older version might contain bugs, and developing and prototyping on these boards is generally not a good idea.

The board rev is 0.8.3 and the firmware I am using is the like the 2nd update you have on the initial release

Do you know which firmware version can work with 0.8.3

I am considering buying new board if just I can test a feature on this I have.

That is why I am not taking the easy way and buy new one directly although I know mine is very old.

Can you try using a more recent DK? The old revisions and engineering revisions do not work well with the newer modem firmware.
