Hi Zero,

I would recommend that the customers update to v4.2. The changes are in the ZBOSS stack, so there is no easy way to patch it in v4.1. They can follow Zigbee stack migration guide: v3.3.0 to v3.11.1.5 to update.

Hi Zero,

I am not sure whether this issue is due to the bug in zb_bdb_reset_via_local_action(), or if it is due to something else, but the zb_bdb_reset_via_local_action() bug is fixed in nRF5 SDK T&Z v4.2.0. The v4.2 release had a lot of fixes, so I strongly recommend updating from v4.1 to v4.2 if possible regardless.

I understand what you mean now. I know that there was a bug in zb_bdb_reset_via_local_action() which was fixed in v4.2.0. Can you try updating the SDK?

Also, since nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee is deprecated, I would recommend moving to nRF Connect SDK instead if possible.

After the device sent the "leave" command to the coordinator, it did not report the "leave signal", which resulted in the device not leaving the network successfully, and all signals would not be reported.

I am not sure I understand the issue. The device sends a Leave command, leaves the network and no longer communicates on the network. Are you expecting it to do something different?

I performed the following steps to test:
1. Re-decompress nRF5_SDK_for_T&Z_v4.1.0_32ce5f8.zip.
2. Compile nRF5_SDK_for_T&Z_v4.1.0_32ce5f8\examples\zigbee\light_control\light_coordinator as the coordinator, and download it to one of the 52840-DK.
3. Copy the above main.c and zigbee_helpers.c to nRF5_SDK_for_T&Z_v4.1.0_32ce5f8\examples\zigbee\light_control\light_switch, and replace the original, compile and download to another 52840-DK.
4. Follow the above operation, that is, join network->restart device->leave network.
After seeing the device restarted through packet capture, press button2 leaver network, and the "leave" action is displayed, but the device does not have a leave network.

I tested with light_coordinator as ZC now, and the light switch still left successfully.

What are you using as coordinator? Can you get a sniffer log of this?

I am not able to reproduce the issue with your project. I built your project in nRF5 SDK for T&Z v4.1.0 with the modified zigbee_helpers.c, and used Zigbee Shell from nRF Connect SDK as coordinator. The device left successfully when I performed the same steps as you, that is, joining the network, soft reset, and then leaving the network.

The screenshot from the sniffer log shows the device rejoining the network after reset, sending a leave command, and then there is no more communication from the light switch on the network:
