I'm currently not using nRF51422 for ANT, only using its ISM mode. Do you have any recommendations?

What hardware are you testing on?

If it's a custom PCB, could you upload the layout (or if you do not want the whole world to see your layout, upload it on MyPage)

The best result I have managed to get indoors is 15-20m line of sight. I was hoping for at least 30-40m. I have used different kinds of antennas and, as noted earlier, the SWR haven't been that bad. In some cases adding a better antenna made reception worse, but gave increased transmission range. Guess that indicates problems with intermodulation products in the receiver?

RE: nRF51422 with external PA?

Hi,

Max. range is always a tricky question to answer, as it depends on the area where you test.
If you are testing outside in line-of-sight, then 250kBit/+4dBm will give you in the area of 100-300 meter (depending on all sorts of natural phenomenons), but this number will be dramatically reduced when testing in an office environment (brick walls etc.).

What are your requirements in terms of range?
