If you have a look at the list of commands, next to each command description there are listed different version tags. These tags indicate which version of the mfw the command is supported by.

E.g., v1.3.x is listed next to "TX test" and should therefore be supported by version 1.3.4.

Hi, we have reprogrammed the mfw already. We are currently running mfw version 1.3.4. Will we be able to still test all the above features?

The device should be delivered with the PTI on it. So as long as you don't reprogram the device, you should have access to all of the features listed here.

No we have not used it yet. I was just asking about the PTI in order to investigate whether it adds some additional testing functionality which we could find useful.

Does this mean you have already used the %xproddone command? If not, you should be able to use the %xrftest command without the PTI.

The %xrftest command link you provided refers to a modem firmware Production Test Image. Can you please point me to where I can find this image and a description thereof?

Hi, Frikkie!

Regarding radio testing on the nRF5340, the Radio test sample lets you transmit at a constant carrier frequency with constant output power. The Bluetooth: Direct Test Mode and IEEE 802.15.4 PHY test tool samples are other options you might find usable.

For the nRF9160, the AT Client sample with the %xrftest command is an option. Remember to beware not to radiate anything in the licensed frequency bands. If you want to test data throughput as well, the Modem Shell sample may be something to look at.

As you're mentioning your antenna, we have some guidelines for the nRF9160, while for the nRF5340 it's mostly sufficient to have one designed for the 2.4 GHz band (example found here).
