My LPN device high power consumption after flash firmware and establish friend node. But low consumption after off and on power again.
That mean our product after flash and establish also the same the first time join to MESH

RE: LPN high power consumption after flash firmware and establish friend node.
Most likely the radio was not turn off and stayed in RX mode even after friendship is established.
Must be a bug in our code somewhere. But please be aware that it's not recommended to allow PB-ADV with LPN node as it require much more power consumption compare to PB_GATT, so you only allow PB-ADV if you know you going to provision the LPN node soon.

I think an easy workaround is to trigger a soft reset after friendship has been established.
Of course it's better if we can find the root cause and fix it, but I think in this case trigger a softreset should be an OK solution.

Could you try this ?

RE: LPN high power consumption after flash firmware and establish friend node.
I test on nRF52840 DK, and the result the same on our customer PCB board.

This is the step sequence i did:

1. Config "MESH_FEATURE_PB_ADV_ENABLED 1" to use provisioner device by:

    /** Enable Advertising-based provisioning bearer, PB-ADV. */
    #define MESH_FEATURE_PB_ADV_ENABLED 1

2. Build and flash firmware LPN into nRF52840 DK.

3. Join LPN into Our mesh.

4. Check power consumption on our tool and see that: High power consumption after established friend node is 12ma

5. Turn off and return on power, now see that low power consumption is 250uA

that mean LPN running on our mesh network normally.

But i don't know why the firs time join to mesh network after flash firmware by provisioner device. It is very high power consumption.

And then turn off - turn on power again, power down from 12ma to 250uA.

The result the same DK and our customer board.

RE: LPN high power consumption after flash firmware and establish friend node.
Could you please try to test with the LPN example ? Could you test with a DK ?
I did a quick test here with the nRF52832 Dev Kit and don't see such problem.
The current consumption went down to a few uA after programming.
Which power consumption value do you see with your board after programming ?
