&lt;p&gt;The documentation for nrfjprog -e states:&amp;nbsp; &lt;em&gt;-e --eraseall Erases all user available program flash memory and&amp;nbsp;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;em&gt;the UICR page. Can be combined with the&lt;/em&gt;&lt;em&gt;--qspieraseall operation.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Thus, by default it should not delete the external flash unless you add qspieraseall argument as well,&lt;/p&gt;
