Hi brian. I did the same with a 5340 board. I was really curious as to what measurements you came up with, if you would be so kind. Im seeing quite ab increase in power consumption when running in high voltage mode.

Yes. As you are supplying DK through the VDDH pin, it should work in high voltage mode. You are measuring 1.8V on the VDD_nrf pin, so it means high voltage regulator is working as expected.

In our setup that I shared with you, we are supplying nRF52840-DK through the VDDH pin only. VDD pin is the output of the REG0 stage. I am measuring 1.8V on this pin which is the expected value.

We want to put nRF52840-DK in High Voltage mode. nRF52840-DK is using the AQFN-73 package so we are good.

The thread you are pointing out (link) does not give any answer to my question.

The setup we have is clearly explained in the picture, the question is also clear - is it enough to set the nRF52840-DK in High Voltage mode?

Hello,

The system enters High Voltage mode when the supply voltage is only connected to the VDDH pin and the VDD pin is not connected to any voltage supply.

Also, it depends on which package you are using. VDD and VDDH are short-circuited inside the QFN48 package. Therefore, the QFN48 device is only usable in Normal Voltage supply mode, and not High Voltage supply mode.
