I had a same problem and solved it

you need MESH SDK 5.0.0 and nRF5 SDK 17.0.2

nRF5 SDK17.1.0 is not suppoted for MESH SDK 5.0.0 as download page said

You are using an unmodified version of the sample?

I used nRF5 SDK version is V17.1.0

I can compile directly using the other projects in the samples path.

path such as nrf5sdkformeshv500src\examples\light_switch\server

But I couldn't compile the DFU project successfully，The same error is displayed

path is nrf5sdkformeshv500src\examples\dfu,

And you are combining which version of the nRF5 SDK with the Mesh SDK?

Also, I want to mention that the nRF5 SDK for Mesh is in maintenance mode, and we really recommend using the nRF Connect SDK for new designs.
