What happens if you change to e.g. GPIO_INT_EDGE_RISING or GPIO_INT_EDGE_FALLING?

My initial thought is that it will trigger on both edges, and this will cause double interrupts.

What kind of sample are you running on your device? I assume you are using nRF Connect SDK, but what version? The included text writes nRF Connect SDK Version : 2.0. Latest version is v2.4.2.
