What version of the nRF Connect for Desktop app and Power Profiler app do you have on the Windows machine? It sounds very strange, as I can't recall seeing this specific issue before.

One thing you could do is to enable verbose logging and upload the log file here so we/our devs can take a look to see if we discover an issue. Since it works as expected on the MacOS side, it sounds like an issue specific to your Windows machine specifically.

Apologies for the late response. I have tried all those options and still not able to connect on windows.

1. Completed a full uninstall of nrf desktop and deleted files in appdata

2. Uninstalled j-link and reinstalled version 7.92n

3. Installed nrf command link tools 10.23.2

4. Re-installed nrf connect

5. Opened power profiler, and it gets stuck as in above images.

6. Tried opening PPK2 into bootloader mode by going into the programmer, then disconnecting and going into the power profiler. Was prompted to re-program, but once 'program' is clicked, it does not stop. Left it running for half an hour, and was still stuck on the same screen with the red light flashing.

I am unsure what is happening here and it is really frustrating as the same cable work on macOS. Please let me know how to resolve this or if there are any log files that ca be extracted for you.

Thanks,

When you select the PPK2 inside the Power Profile App, it should prompt you to programme the latest firmware available. Have you received such a notification? And when you open the PPK2 inside the Programmer App, it will automatically move to bootloader mode and be visible as Open DFU bootloader with a red LED blinking. Once you open the PPK2 in the programmer, try selecting the open DFU bootloader in the power profiler app. So it will reprogram the PPK2.

Since PPK2 is working perfectly on Mac, I assume the hardware (PPK2) is fine. You can also try to uninstall the Power Profiler app and the nRF Connect app entirely, and then go to C/Users/**abcd**/AppData/Roaming/nrfconnect in your file explorer and make sure this folder is empty or non-existent before reinstalling nRF Connect for Desktop and the Power Profiler app.

Make sure you have the latest version of the nRF command-line tools and try updating the J-Link version. You can also try to change the USB cable.

Kind Regards,
