Hello Abhijith,

I had been already able to sniff BLE trace on Wireshark with this dongle. I managed to add a profile as described in document.

Tonight, the dongle is detected by Wireshark:

I have no idea why i was not able to have a hardware detection on Wireshark previously. (I updated nrfConnect Desktop on 4.2.1 tonight).

I expect i will have no more kind of problem. I can catch BLE frames now.

Hello,

Have you completed the steps I pointed out in the tutorial? Your BLE device won't be visible as a sniffer unless you finish adding a wireshark profile for the nRF sniffer. See the steps mentioned here. Could you share a screenshot if you have already finished with this?

Hello,

After successfully flashing the hex file, the device will get closed and will be visible as an nRF sniffer Bluetooth inside the programmer app. I can see the same inside your first screenshot, so I guess the dongle is running with sniffer firmware. To make the dongle visible inside the wireshark, you need to follow the steps mentioned in the tutorial (in my first response). You can also refer to this page. Not sure on this, but the programmer will not be able to detect the dongle after rebooting with sniffer firmware. I think the error you are seeing from the programmer is because of this.

Yes, i use the sniffer_nrf52840dongle_nrf52840_4.1.1.hex file in Programmer v3.0.9

When i launch directly i can't write the file.

I have to put the dongle in DFU Bootloader mode:

The programmation looks to have correctly works:

But in nRF Connect for Desktop i have systematically this problem:
