Here are two new SoCs that might be worth checking out for future projects. Both will have NFC and both are low power.

Hi, no it did not happen again as I created a new workspace for each project during testing. For technical reasons I cannot use the Nordic MCUs for my current project now, so looking for alternative parts that offer low power and NFC on the SOC. Thanks for responding.

Normally, it should be possible, and also quite convenient to keep multiple applications in a workspace. I am sorry to hear this is not working for you. Has this happened once, or have you tried again? If you are able to reproduce this issue, could you please provide a log or screenshot?

Hi, I think I right-clicked on it from the application folder view and chose to delete it. It seems like one of the application folders must have had something the other relied on to work. I eventually just created a new project and copied all of the files into that, and it's now working ok. I now know not to create multiple applications in one workspace.

Exactly how did you remove the folder?

If the problem reoccurs, could you please provide screenshots of the error messages, including the whole VS Code window?

Hi Scott, good to hear that you were able to get things working again. I will look into what is the better way to remove applications.

Oh, I added the unused application's folder back and it magically fixed all of the problems. I guess I just have to keep it around for some unknown reason :)
