I am pretty sure the main reason was the low battery. It is quite stable now after charging. Sometimes it still disconnects but only if I change the sampling duration. Did not test it much but I am happy with the default values/state.

hold on, I guess I know what is wrong...
It might be a low battery. At least the connection is stable with the plugged-in USB cable

Just did as you suggested:
- downloaded the firmware from https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/Nordic-Thingy-53/Downloads#infotabs
- erased Thingy53 and uploaded edge impulse firmware
Screenshot: (see above)

But the problem still exists.

PCB version is 0.8.0

Did you use the latest precompiled FW package to update the Thingy:53?

I did basically the same procedure. I updated the device using nRF5340DK with the Edge Impulse application from the FW package. This has not provided me with any issues.

What version of the Thingy:53 are you using?

Well, it had that state out of the box.
Then I updated the firmware as I described in the ticket.

Hello again,

I'm not able to reproduce on my side with iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 17. I was able to connect and collect a sample from the Edge Impulse application through nRF Edge Impulse.

Could you please provide more information on how you are testing in order for me to reproduce?
