I was wrong.
(I was directly editing various files in aws_iot\certs)
As mentioned in developer.nordicsemi.com/.../aws_iot.html, you can now connect by updating using LTE Link Monitor.

Could you please provide information if the certificate renewal method was incorrectly done on your side, or did you find some incorrect information in the documentation?

The certificate renewal method was incorrect and could not be updated correctly.
I was able to connect by referring to "Provisioning of the certificates" on the page below.
developer.nordicsemi.com/.../aws_iot.html
