To get me up and running I am using the HeartRate example provided in the SDK,

Thanks for your info BTW

My First Solution (which works) :-

You can add extra content to the Garmin devices, using Connect IQ apps.

I found an app called Appbuilder 5+ (which has to be loaded into the Garmin) , this allows you to control extra data Fields to the Garmin (the plus thing with this is that allows me to direct the ant+ TX_ed Air Quality Index data (which is really pretending to be heart rate data) and more importantly adjust the displayed label ( out with heart rate and in with AQI).

This is not the best solution, however it does work, until I work out the UUID for an i2c ENS160/AHT2x AQI module.

RE: How to change the field names on a Garmin device using the PDA10056 DK

Hi,

I'm not so familiar with the Garmin device, so I don't know how you create a "side app" on the Garmin device.

The "Heart Rate" text you see on the Garmin device is most likely comes from the Heart Rate Service & Characteristic UUID that you use in the heart rate example.

The Garmin device is designed so that it will look for the Heart Rate service (by looking at the UUID) and then read the value and display it as "Heart Rate" value. So I don't see an easy way you can manipulate the device to display something else.

RE: How to change the field names on a Garmin device using the PDA10056 DK

I am beginning to think the displayed field names are allocated from the Garmin its self.... (i.e. so do not appear in the segger nrf code files).

If this is the case then I just need to a create a "side app" field in the Garmin to port the AQI with appropriate display label.

I am still hope_ing its still possible within the segger nrf code initiation - it would make life a tad easier.
