Recently I had switched to using coded as both the primary and secondary phy, but realized it might be better to keep one as 1M. The initiator will use your secondary_phy to initiate the connection if you do extended advertising. The primary phy is used otherwise.

Does the advertisement get promoted to coded phy and includes both the coded and 1M phy information within a single advertisement?

Say I have two centrals, one is within 1M phy range, and the other is within coded phy range.
If both centrals are configured for 1M+coded, then detect a 1M+coded advertisement, what determines which phy the centrals will attempt the connection on? How would the central which is outside 1M phy range know that it can only connect with coded phy? Are they always trying 1M first then coded phy?

RE: Advertising with Primary + Secondary PHY?

Hi,

The advertiser would follow the phy sitting for the primary channel and the secondary channel. You can request a PHY update to 1M/coded phy after the connection has been established.
