Cellular Monitor was launched normally on both computers.

- company issued computer, normal user

- test computer, administrator

Wireshark was installed in C:\Program Files\Wireshark on both computers.

But I have to get our IT personnel to key in admin name and password to be able to install Wireshark on the company computer.

I used the same mtrace captured from Cellular Monitor on company computer on the test computer.

So confirm is that the issue of mtrace.

It is great to know that the issue has been resolved. In order to ensure that we do not miss anything, I would appreciate it, if you could provide answers to the questions shown below.

How did you open Cellular Monitor on both computers? Did you open Cellular Monitor normally or did you run it as Administrator?

Which limitations regarding access rights did you have on non-working computer?

Could you provide your trace file (if it is not private/confidential)?

Could you provide your Wireshark path?

It seems that I need to have administrator rights to get this to work.?.

I tried in on a test pc with full admin rights and cellular monitor is able to convert the trace file and open it in Wireshark.

What I meant is I am trying to open the mtrace file in Wireshark via Cellular Monitor without selecting a device. still failing with error "Failed conversion to pcap: WaitForSingleObject error: 6"

I am opening the mtrace file in Wireshark via Cellular Monitor without selecting a device.

Hi,

Have you verified that mtrace file is not corrupted? Can you open/load the file in Cellular Monitor?

Have you tried opening the .mtrace file in Wireshark when the board is disconnected (i.e. not selected)?

i have enabled the modem lib trace, used cellular monitor to get the .mtrace file, then try to open the file in wireshark by clicking the "Open trace file in Wireshark..." within the Cellular Monitor app.
