Normally the Dongle Bootloader used together with the nRF Connect for Desktop app will normally release the bootloader and start the application directly after programming. This can be seen as you get an error message in log output in nRF Connect for Desktop as it loses the USB connection with the bootloader as soon as the main application is started.

This is achieved by sending a command over the USB interface so if you are using command line you will have to add this to you commands. I don't remember which command but expect a soft reset will do the trick.

No problem at all, and I bet my understanding of English is more to blame.

I guess the easiest way would be to to plug it out and in again. Though you could also remove the bootloader from it, if you'd prefer doing that (with an external programmer).

Thank you Elfving this is good data, and I'm sorry if my question wasn't clear. After I uploaded my code to the dongle. How do I reset it if I want the code to restart? Is there a button that does that, or how otherwise this is done?

Not exactly. The reset button puts the dongle in bootloader mode. It takes advantage of the nRF5 bootloader that comes with the dongle, and allows it to be programmed using essentially a DFU. For more info, please see here.

Btw, if you are new to nRFs I would rather recommend you to get a Development Kit. It is a lot easier and more forgiving to work with.
