Hi,

So you can replace the entire debug server mechanism with custom fields in launch.json:

Using the serverpath and serverArgs fields it is possible to change the debugger. It should then work with VS Code but it can be missing some functionality, like the thread awareness is part of the JLink debug server, so the thread view and call stack won't work as expected unless the debug server is zephyr aware.
