I understand. It is marked as an internal issue, so it has been added to the backlog at least. Either way I'll keep this DevZone ticket updated when there is any progress there.

Unfortunately still nothing that's useful to you. There are other issues currently taking priority for the nRF Connect for Desktop team. If this is time sensitive to you I suggest contacting the RSM of your area so that we can escalate this "correctly". Alternatively let me know, and I can try bringing the issue higher up on the priority ladder.

Still the bearer of bad news I'm afraid, as this issue has not been prioritized lately, so the progress report is "no progress". I did not get a date for when I can expect an update either, but I'll keep pinging them weekly for some kind of update at least and report back to you with the status.

I know that that app won't be running in Hibernation mode.

The problem is that once it is out of hibernation mode the interface is in a peculiar state unless you cycle the serial port. As I mentioned before other serial ports in the system (FTDI serial adapters) work correctly but the PPK does not.

They've started looking into it but have not concluded their final thoughts on it.

But, when the PC goes into hibernation mode, application won't be running at all, so it won't be possible for the Power Profiler app to collect data from the PPK2 in hibernation mode. We're looking into whether we can recover the Power Profiler app when the PC awakes from hibernation and let it resume capturing without having to close and open the serial port.

Okay, thanks for informing me, I don't have this option, nor have I seen it on any Windows 10 computer I've used, but I've let the developers know. We're currently investigating internally.

I am putting the PC (Windows 10) into hibernation mode (which does not work) as opposed to sleep mode (which does work); I am not shutting the PC down.

I communicate with my device using an (FTDI) USB serial device and this works over both sleep and hibernate so the problem would seem specific to the Nordic PPK

What hibernation mode exactly are you putting the PC in here? Are you just putting it to sleep or turning it off entirely? My guess is that the computer don't check for ongoing USB activity when waking from these and thus requires serial ports to close and open. I have asked the devs internally to confirm this or not and I'll get back to you when I hear from the devs.

I should add that the remote device is connected to the PC by a USB serial port - which continues to operate over the hiberate/wake transition
