 I see the (optional) Battery Monitoring Circuit, which is fine. I understand how that works.

&lt;p&gt;As Robin is suggesting, you can exit Ship mode by connecting the USB. You can enter Ship mode by setting SHPACT high for a minimum period of 200 ms when VBUS is disconnected.&lt;/p&gt;
