&lt;p&gt;Did you build your modem_shell firmware with&amp;nbsp;overlay-rtt.conf overlay configuration?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then you should be able to send and receive shell commands in J-Link RTT Viewer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For AT commands, it needs to follow this format&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/2.5.0/nrf/samples/cellular/modem_shell/README.html#at-commands"&gt;https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/2.5.0/nrf/samples/cellular/modem_shell/README.html#at-commands&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
