Apologies for the long wait time, I've been out of office and unavailable from Devzone for longer than expected

So here's a couple of thoughts

The behaviour you're describing in your node sounds like a secure network beacon which is sent roughly every 10 seconds from the nodes in the neighborhood (and rarer the more nodes it gets a beacon from). Even if the node is connected over GATT, it still uses the same ADV-bearer for "regular" network traffic. For instance when it receives messages from the connected GATT-unit it will relay that over the regular ADV-bearer

Even if the node is a proxy, it can still be configured to be able to have multiple GATT-connections, and in this case it will advertise itself even if it has been connected to a central at an earlier point in time.

Could you have a look at the regular settings for BLE advertising interval and tweak this to see if this changes anything?
