&lt;p&gt;I can give you the opposite. &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf5340/qspi.html?cp=4_0_0_6_24_4#execute_in_place"&gt;The PS of the 53 mentions that XIP is an available feature&amp;nbsp;for QSPI&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf5340/spim.html?cp=4_0_0_6_29"&gt;The section on SPI doesn&amp;#39;t mention this&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Not at all :) Please feel free to ask about anything!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Though&amp;nbsp;I believe you do need to QSPI for XIP to work; you can&amp;#39;t use SPI for this.&lt;/p&gt;
