nRF Connect Device Manager: issue with version 1.4.3 of the mobile app - low image upload rate

Hi,

I'm working with nRF52833 + bl653 board, ncs 1.9.1.

I recently updated my mobile Device Manager app to version 1.4.3 and noticed that when uploading an image for upgrade (using "confirm only") uploading rate was reduced to 1-2 kB/s, while it used to be 5-6 kB/s with previous app versions.

Do you know what may be the problem?

Kind regards,

Dagan

  • Hi,

Based on the version number I assume you are using the iOS version. You can see the updates in that version here, and the only change that I think could be relevant is this, which could disable pipe-lining.

Which iPhone model and iOS version are you using? And which Device Manger version were you using before? Do you see the same speeds if you test with a different iPhone model?

  • Hi Einar,

    Thanx for the response.

I'm using iPhone 14 with iOS 17.0.3, updated the Device Manager to 1.4.3 from 1.4.2, but since the release was only a couple of days after the previous version I'm not sure which of the two last versions introduced the issue on my device. When I used version 1.4 the upload rate was definitely higher though.

As for now I haven't tested it with a different iPhone model yet, I'll update when I did.

    Thanks again
