Hey Øyvind,

Didn't know the command line could be used to update the modem but makes sense. I only have the 9160DK with me today where it did work, Ill test it on the 5340 DK monday at the office.

Are you able to program the device using nrfjprog? e.g. nrfjprog --program c:\path\to\modem.zip -f nrf91

There is a variety of voltages on the external board but the entire mcu domain is connected to 3.3V VDD. We don't have a hardware review from nordic but it was designed by a design house which specializes in RF so cant imagine it being a pathing and tracing issue.

The 3.3v VDD is sensed by the VTG pin on the p20 header and debug/flash operations over SWD work great, just the modem FWU button is greyed out.

Edit: Furthermore when using an NRF9160 DK and connect to our board in exact the same way the modem firmware on our device can be upgraded without issue's
