Hi,

Please take a screenshot when you see the error with MCUBoot. I still don't really get it how you get error about MCUBoot in Jlink interface.

Please erase what you have on the nRF9160 on the DK. Just flash a blinky application (don't flash MCUBoot on the nRF91) on it so you are sure you are not talking to the nRF91 on the DK instead of the nRF91 on the custom board.

Please send us your schematic.

Hi Hung,

My version is B1A.

I have wired P0.10/P0.11 and P0.28/P0.29 on the custom nRF9160. Where it should try to send AT commands and at what speed/data/parity/stop bit format?

I tried to connect my custom nrf9160 through the Debug Out connector P19, pins: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10 and SB24 shorted.

With SW9 set to 1.8V, Programmer lists a J-Link device and if I try to write it I get the error below:
- MCUboot DFU failed with error: Error: Failed with exit code 1. One or more program tasks failed. Message: Failed, No matching plugin found for operations to execute.
- Error: Failed with exit code 1. One or more program tasks failed. Message: Failed, No matching plugin found for operations to execute

With SW9 set to 3V, programmer lists nothing and LED5 on DK turns off, but command line "nrfjprog -i" shows DK's model number, if I try to flash it using "west flash" command, it get stuck indefinitely without any timeout/error message to be shown.

I also tried to use P20 connector (VDD, VTG, GND, SWD IO, SWD CLK) instead of Debug Out , but I get the same results as mentioned above.

Hi Loukas,

Which version of the chip you have ? Chip version B1A has a PTI (Production test image) preprogrammed. It supports limited set of AT Commands. Please take a look here: infocenter.nordicsemi.com/.../nwp_034.pdf

Please answer my questions in the last reply.

You need to make sure you powered the chip correctly.

Hello Hung,

Is there any UART console (or another interface) in a new SiP to receive debug messages when you boot the chip?

Hi Loukas,
Could you take a close-up photo of your setup ?
Could you show how you connect the DK to your board.

I'm not so sure why you want to test with the bootloader image. Could you try flashing for example a blinky example ?
Could you take a screenshot when you see the error with "{"id":3,"serialNumber":null,"serialPorts":[{"comName":"COM1","manufacturer":"(Standard port types)","path":"\\\\?\\ACPI#PNP0501#1#" . I'm not so sure the context about these error.
