We don't have a sample of exactly what you want, but the closest is this unofficial sample in the development NCS version (main).

thanks for your reply, i read the description of the SLM application but that's not quite what we need.

I was thinking more about an application to be flashed to the nRF52 instead of the Connectivity Bridge one, that controls the nRF91 an actually uses it to communicate and send data for example to a MQTT broker or something similar to that.

Is anything like that available as sample in the nRF Conenct SDK, or perhaps somewhere else?

Or more in general, is the SLM application meant to be used the way i described?

Hi,

See the Communicating with the modem on Thingy:91 section of the Serial LTE modem Application Description:

To connect to Thingy:91 with a PC, you must first program the Connectivity bridge on the nrf52840 of Thingy:91. It routes UART_0 to USB_CDC0 on Thingy:91. By enabling the option CONFIG_BRIDGE_BLE_ENABLE , you can also use SLM over Nordic UART Service (NUS).
